    What is a Primary Care Network?

    • An organization led by family physicians for family physicians and primary care practice and advocating for improved health care systems
    • Enables us to partner together in health care design and influence how health care is delivered
    • Physician networks are essential OHTs because the health care system needs input from family doctors to succeed

    What will we do as a network?

    • Strengthen the positions of family physicians and primary care through numbers
    • Identify priorities and concerns for West Toronto family doctors and advocate for them

    • Develop and use effective, bidirectional communication structures
    • Represent family physicians’ collective voice at all levels of the WTOHT including 2 votes at the WTOHT steering committee
    • Develop, leverage, and implement local initiatives to improve access to the resources we need to provide he best care possible to our patients
    • Organize events to build better relationships with our specialist colleagues and other important clinical resources in our community
    • Support digital health initiatives that actually work for primary care
    • Join regional and provincial networks to develop solutions for health human resource issues eg retirement planning, locum recruitment, FHO applications
