Nicole is a family physician with more than 20 years’ experience in comprehensive primary care in a variety of settings and models. She has been involved with health system planning for over a decade and is passionate about reducing damaging health inequities, building effective teams, and making complex care easier. She is dedicated and committed to ensuring health care in West Toronto is built on a strong and cohesive foundation of primary care that family physicians both lead and co-design.

Dr. Nadine LarayaWest Toronto Primary Care Council/Unity Health community liason
Nadine Laraya is Family Physician in West Toronto. Over the last 15 years, she has worked in both Academic and Community-based practice settings, provided low-risk obstetrical and newborn care at St Joseph’s Health Centre, and has been involved in clinical teaching at all levels of medical training, receiving multiple awards for teaching and mentorship.
Nadine also serves as the Community Family Medicine Liaison to St Joseph’s Health Centre and Primary Care lead for SCOPE (Seamless Care Optimizing the Patient Experience), roles that promote closer collaboration and dialogue between the Primary Care and Acute Care sectors. She has been part of the West Toronto OHT as a leader representing Primary Care since Day 1.
Nadine is passionate about achieving health equity among all people living in Toronto’s complex urban environment, and is involved in projects aimed at understanding and improving population outcomes through system evaluation, design, and innovation.

My name is Aaren Grigg and I am an FM-OB practicing at The Borough Health & Wellness and St Joseph’s Health Centre.
I joined the Primary Care Council to advocate for physicians as we strive to create a compassionate healthcare experience that enhances the lives of our patients and community.
I am excited at the opportunity to continue to engage with our growing community and highlight the value of our profession.
